i've made those desktop pictures using filter and layer techniques in Adobe Photoshop. i hardly painted any area, but mixed various methods however they seemed adding strength to the picture. i tried to give them a certain 3D look and feel, but check for yourself. click the preview pictures to view the full versions. please be patient if on slow connection speed - those pictures are mostly huge.
